I went to walk my dog this morning and nearly broke my neck falling in a pothole. I turned for a second to look behind me, I thought I heard a car and there are no sidewalks on our streets. I never made it to turn back again. I fell and scraped the hell out of my knee and ripped my nicest jeans. This pothole might not pose a problem for cars yet, because it is long (one meter)
and only about 8 inches wide, but it is at least 4 inches deep. I will go and take a photo. I didn’t have my camera with me. I’m not a young chickie anymore, this could have turned out worse. there are several elderly people that walk up and down this street and my sons are bicyclists, they would be over the bars if their front tire went into this long pothole. I didn’t see it right away because the car that was parked on the side of the road and the shadows of the trees obscured it. I am very upset about my knee and my beautiful jeans. I’m not made of money and our taxes should pay for this kind of thing to get fixed. it took them several years to fix the amazon pot hole on the corner of Irene and Lois. The one I had an accident with is on Irene between Lois and Old Beaverbank near number 44 or 46. I will take a photo and send it. I am still shaking. This is upsetting.
